The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (USHMM), opened in April 1993 in Washington D.C., is both a memorial to the millions of people murdered during the Holocaust and a documentation and research institute on the history of the Holocaust. The USHMM has gained international renown and welcomes two million visitors each year.
In 2015, SNCF entered into a five-year partnership with this institution to support its educational activities for students and the general public. In 2012, the company gave it a digitised copy of its historical archives. In December 2017, SNCF’s name was added to the Museum’s Donor Wall.
