SNCF supports the publication of books devoted to the history of the Second World War and that of railway workers. These publications, based on the work of historians and the study of archival sources, help to document and raise awareness of journeys, events and aspects of history that are still little known.

Henri Lang, a biography by Nathalie Bibas
Retraces the fate of an SNCF engineer and director confronted with antisemitic persecution and deportation.

Le Dictionnaire biographique des fusillés, Maitron
Biographies of people shot after sentencing or executed as hostages in France during the Occupation.

Les Cheminots dans la Résistance, Cécile Hochard
Sheds light on the situation of SNCF and its staff during the Second World War, drawing on archival sources.

Tracts et papillons clandestins de la Résistance, Papiers de l’urgence
It reproduces and analyses these invaluable documents, held at the Réserve des livres rares of the BNF.
