SNCF supports documentary, film and cultural projects that help to raise awareness of and pass on the history of the company and its railway workers, particularly during the Second World War.
Documentary films, audiovisual productions and cultural projects help to bring to light archives, testimonies and individual journeys, and to make the public aware of episodes of this history that are sometimes little known. They also offer new ways of accessing historical sources and contribute to renewing approaches to passing on knowledge.
These productions thus help to spread knowledge beyond specialist circles and reach a wider audience, particularly younger generations. They contribute to an approach of knowledge, transmission and dialogue around history, giving a place to archives and testimonies in contemporary creations.
